This is the weekend in-between the two weeks of lectures of the CIMPA School.

 

All the talks will be given remotely, live over Zoom. The local participants will follow them from a lecture theatre at the Khorezm Mamun Academy.

We believe that a research workshop on the themes covered by the school will be a useful addition to it. While the school courses will be aimed mainly at graduate students from Uzbekistan and other Central Asian countries, the research workshop will cover some of the latest developments and insights into cutting-edge topics of current research.

There are 6 speakers comprising a disjoint set from the CIMPA school lecturers. They will give research talks, at the pace of 3 a day, on the themes covered at a far more elementary level by the School, including:

-complex analysis;

-geometric applications of pluripotential theory;

-complex geometry;

-complex dynamics.

The speakers will open up new avenues for research with the CIMPA School participants and other researchers, including towards such cutting-edge research topics as Mirror Symmetry and Hyperbolicity that are related to, but will be absent, for lack of time, from those covered by the school. Thus, we are aiming for a symbiosis between the CIMPA School and the workshop.
